• A valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID)
• Payment: Cash, check, credit/debit card, or get approved for financing on the spot
• A big smile — because you’re about to get a brand-new ride!

That’s literally it. No hidden hoops, no running around to the tax office, and no surprises.

Short answer: Faster than you think.

1. Choosing the Right Scoot (30–60 minutes) We’ll sit down with you, ask about your commute, budget, parking situation, and how you plan to use it (campus runs, trips to Bryan, weekend cruising, etc.). Then we’ll walk you through all the in-stock options that fit your life perfectly.

   Pro move: Take one (or more!) of our demo models for a real test ride around the block. Feel the power, brakes, and comfort before you buy — something you can’t do when ordering online.

2. Paperwork & Payment (usually under 10 minutes) We handle everything — title, registration, temp tags, and all the Texas DMV stuff. You just sign a few forms and you’re done. No trips to the county tax office!

3. Prep & Safety Check (2-3 hours) You don’t need to hang out for this part, but this is where buying from Scoots really shines. Every new scooter gets:

   • Full PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection)
   • All fluids checked and topped off
   • Battery charged and tested
   • Lights, brakes, horn, and tire pressure verified
   • A thorough safety & performance check

   We don’t just hand you the keys — we make sure your ride is 100% ready to roll safely from day one.

4. Pickup & Learn-to-Ride Session When you come back (typically the next day), we’ll give you a personalized walkthrough: all the controls, maintenance tips, how to store it over break, and answers to every question you have. Many first-time riders tell us this short lesson gave them way more confidence.

Total time from “I’m thinking about it” to “I’m riding home”? Usually the next day, but we can accommodate same day when needed, just give us a heads up (i.e. you’re here from out of town) — way faster than dealing with Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, or out-of-state dealers.
